Please find attached ideas for today's home learning. We hope you find these useful. Please start with the document "Year 2 - Week 1 - 1 - Monday 23rd March".
Maths: We have taught the vast majority of the number side of the Year 2 Maths curriculum in school and are now moving on to shape and measurement topics. This week we are focusing on position and direction.
We are currently in the process of setting up log ins for 'Sum Dog', a fun online platform for children to practise a wide range of maths/reading/writing topics. We will email these out ASAP.
English: We are suggesting basing this week's English around the story of Pinocchio.
Please continue to read and share books (fiction and non-fiction) with your children daily. The more your child is able to read, the more they can learn independently. This website has colour banded e-books that match the scheme we use in school. You need to create a free login to use them.
FREE eBook Library. Welcome to our free eBook collection, developed for children aged 3–11 years old. Help your young child learn to read, and love to read, with our range of over 100 free eBooks.
Click on 'Levels' and then 'Book Bands'. Please start on your child's current band level. If you feel that they are reading this band with ease, feel free to try them on the next band up.
Parents are welcome to use the following email addresses if they would like to share any great learning that has taken place at home! It should not be accessed by pupils.
Thank you for all your support during this time.
