This information on these pages is intended to provide clarity and transparency to pupils and parents or carers about what to expect from remote education where national or local restrictions require children to learn remotely.
The DfE asks schools to develop remote education that is integrated into school curriculum planning. Provision for remote education needs to be an essential component in the delivery of the school curriculum for individual pupils who may have to isolate, or in the case of 'bubble', or an extended whole-school period of remote learning . All schools are required to be prepared to ensure that any pupils educated at home are given the support they need to make good progress.
We have therefore put in place a plan for remote learning so that all children can continue with their education. This meets the expectations set out in the DfE guidance ‘Remote Education Support’
