Welcome to the Dallas Road School website

Valued, Encouraged and Challenged to be the best we can possibly be.

We are a thriving community primary school for 4 to 11 year olds, based in the heart of Lancaster. As a large, multicultural school, it is hard to imagine a school with a more diverse profile. We see this as one of our greatest strengths.

Mrs Rose Starkey, Head Teacher

We encourage you to browse around our website where you will find details of school events and a celebration of the activities that typically enrich our curriculum. There are opportunities for our children to develop home-school learning, too.

We look forward to seeing you in school.

We are all very much looking forward to our first class assembly this term as 5G take to the stage on Friday 6th May at 9.05 a.m. in the school hall

Photos taken at a Lancaster and District Pupil Parliament event.

Our Year 5 and 6 school council members had to take a shoe box filled with items representing what they value about our local community and they also learnt more about British Values, how government works and how to debate successfully. One task involved debating and voting in the same way that they do in the House of Commons. They debated and voted as to whether homework should be banned for all children until they reach Year 9. Surprisingly, the parliament voted against a ban.

From left to right the children are photographed with:

Mayor of Lancaster (Jon Barry), the Deputy Mayor (Caroline Jackson) and one of our local MP’s (David Morris).
