Dallas Road Community Primary School is a large multi-cultural school, that caters for the needs of pupils from many different ethnic backgrounds and with differing needs.
At Dallas Road, all children are encouraged to be determined; develop a positive attitude to learning and to aspire to be the best they can be.
Over the years, we have welcomed many multi-lingual, including refugee and asylum seeker, families into our care and hope to continue to do so in the future. Our aim is to raise the achievement of all children in our school by increasing positives outcomes within all areas of their development.
Below you will find our policy for teaching children with EAL (English as an Additional Language) which also includes our Supporting New Arrivals policy (including specific needs of refugee and asylum seeker children). This policy is supplementary to our Teaching and Learning policy and our Equal Opportunities policy.
