Welcome to the Friends of Dallas Road!

Who are the Friends of Dallas Road?

All of us! Anyone with a child at Dallas Road can be a Friend of Dallas Road. We are also known as the PTA (Parent Teacher Association). We’re here to raise money for the school and to help the school community; children, parents, carers and teachers to socialise together. To do this we organise events like the school discos, Christmas fair, International evening, summer fair and tuck shop. We’re always looking for people to get involved in the events, either by helping us to plan, volunteering to help out or coming along and enjoying yourselves!

Come to a meeting

We know how busy everyone is, but we love to see new faces at FODR meetings – we don’t want to be a small group making decisions – everyone’s views matter. We publicise meetings via the Dallas News school newsletter

Where does the money go?

As a result of your wonderful support, in recent years the school has been able to purchase:

• iPads (number)
• Brand new reading books and literacy materials for the entire school
• Blackout curtains for the Hall
• African drums
• Portable electric piano
• Interactive White Boards
• Hall sound system
• Sound system casing
• New chairs for classrooms
• Dance workshops
